Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Visual Merchandising & Retail Design:

  • Develop & Execute VM Strategies:Lead the development and implementation of retail visual merchandising strategies across all stores, carts, and pop-up locations within the park.
  • Create Seasonal & Thematic Displays:Design and execute visually engaging, seasonal, and themed displays that align with the park's narrative and guest experience (e.g., holiday events, new program launches, limited-time offers).
  • Visual Consistency:Ensure that all retail spaces reflect the park’s aesthetic standards, maintaining consistency across product displays, signage, and store layouts.
  • Merchandise Flow & Signage:Design clear, attractive signage and merchandise flow that ensures a smooth shopping experience, easy navigation, and efficient product discovery.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with retail teams and store managers to ensure timely and effective execution of visual displays.

2. Marketing Creative:

  • Campaign Conceptualization:Lead the creative adaptation of marketing campaigns for special events, and seasonal launches, ensuring alignment with park branding and guest expectations.
  • Content Creation:Design promotional materials, including posters, toppers, team member badges, park map and digital content to promote retail offerings and special park events.
  • Collaborative Creative Process:Partner with the In Park Marketing, Events Planning, and Retail teams to develop creative concepts for new product lines, events, or special promotions within the park.
  • Brand Consistency:Maintain and enhance the consistency of brand voice, aesthetic, and messaging across all marketing channels, including print, digital, and in-park experiences.
  • Creative Direction:Provide references and concepts of photo shoots for retail marketing initiatives, ensuring high-quality content that supports the brand’s storytelling.

3. Project Management:

  • Oversee Installations & Rollouts:Manage the end-to-end process of new window setups, visual display rollouts, and seasonal refreshes, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality expectations.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management:Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors for props, display materials, and other creative assets.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration:Work closely with park operations, merchandise buying teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure that the visual concepts and retail strategies align with operational needs.

4. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Manage & Lead In-Park Visual Team:Lead and mentor the team of visual merchandisers, creative designers to execute the retail and park vision.
  • Performance Monitoring:Assist tooversee the performance of visual merchandising displays and adjust strategies based on management feedback and visual impact assessments.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in retail visual merchandising, creative direction, or marketing, with a proven track record of developing successful retail displays and marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in the theme park, entertainment, or hospitality industries is highly preferred.
  • Prior management experience or experience leading a team in a creative or retail environment is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail, color, typography, and composition.
  • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other creative tools is a MUST.
  • Excellent understanding of consumer behavior, trends, and retail analytics.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and with external vendors.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building relationships across departments and with external vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to work some weekends or public holidays, where required (Off-In-Lieu will apply where applicable).
