Job description

Yong-en provides integrated community care and social services, using a holistic approach to provide person-centred care to different groups of people in need and to their caregivers.

We provide effective and professional care services for underprivileged individuals, families and the elderly. We harness the power of meaningful public and private partnerships, and dedicated volunteers, to serve our beneficiaries’ interests as priority, and collectively to empower our community. The incumbent’s core duty includes fundraising management and to support Yong-en’s events and functions as part of the Community Relations Team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Senior Community Relations Manager to jointly formulate a fundraising strategy, structure, and processes.
  • Collaborate with the Community Relations Team to drive and support ongoing fundraising and donor-related volunteering activities while raising awareness of Yong-en Care Centre’s beneficiaries and their needs.
  • Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and projects to meet assigned fundraising targets.
  • Manage donor acquisition, appreciation, and retention strategies.
  • Design and implement impactful donor engagement and appreciation programmes. Manage donor database and prepare data analysis reports.
  • Ensure donations and gifts are stewarded according to the donors’ intentions and provide reports on their impact. Prepare and manage the submission of fundraising grant proposals and applications to government and corporate donors/funders, in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Prepare materials and collaterals for donor outreach.
  • Ensure fundraising complies with regulatory requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and guidelines. Assist in the planning and execution of other Community Relations events and activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university with at least 3 years of fundraising, marketing, or volunteering-related work experience.
  • Independent, self-driven, and results-oriented.
  • Strong desire to serve and build a career in the social service sector.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and possess a positive ‘Can do’ attitude.
  • Ability to produce and deliver pitches, apply for grants, and write persuasive funding applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking abilities.
  • Adaptable team player with high integrity.
  • Strong data management, analytical skills, project, and event management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and multitask effectively. Proficient with database management.
  • Social media savvy.
  • Passionate about serving others.
