Job Responsibilities
- Review balance sheet schedules including bank reconciliation and follow up on aged items with GBS and business operations.
- Review fixed asset capitalization and disposal in accordance with company fixed asset policy.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end/year-end closing process, including BPC reporting submission to Group.
Statutory/Internal Control Requirement
- Responsible for Inchcape InControl Framework and provide guidance on compliance.
- Review GST submission and ensure tax computations are in order.
- Ensure statutory report complies with relevant accounting and reporting standards.
- Key person to deal with any external/internal audit issues related to General Ledger.
- Plan and conduct monthly/yearly stock counts, monitor the stock take process in alignment with InControl Framework.
Others
- Provide technical expertise and advice on accounting-related matters to GBS and business operations.
- Lead and drive system enhancement projects/new business development and recommend improvements to workflow and processes.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required and/or assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA is a plus.
- Strong technical accounting background.
- At least 3 years of general ledger accounting experience is required. Audit experience in Big 4 is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, especially good command of advanced Microsoft Excel formulas and functions.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the Company organization.
- Good time management to meet deadlines and able to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- High level of motivation, enthusiasm, and proactivity.
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement them.
