About the role
The Assistant Manager, Experiences is part of SJ’s Global Communications & Marketing team, with a focus on brand experiences, events and placemaking for the group’s global headquarters in Singapore, SJ Campus.
Located at Jurong Innovation District, a vibrant ecosystem of next-gen enterprises, the 68,915m2 campus development can accommodate 4,000+ employees, as well as other tenants. This role requires a proactive individual with strong interpersonal skills, a passion for creating impactful moments regardless of scale, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Working closely with SJ’s senior leadership and dignitaries visiting SJ Campus, the role will be crafting exceptional experiences that act as ‘first impressions’ of the brand.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead and execute the placemaking strategies and activities for SJ Campus. Placemaking efforts include community and client engagement, sourcing and maintaining relationships with partners (including government agencies, businesses, community organisations etc.) and internal engagements.
- Lead brand and marketing efforts relating to SJ Campus, including refreshing and maintaining the SJ Campus’s webpages, videos, marketing collaterals, on-site materials, content in SJ Experience/gallery etc. Candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, creative teams and/or external partners to deliver distinct experiences and branding collaterals.
- End-to-end management of key corporate events and visits to SJ Campus, curating experiences for esteemed guests and clients. This includes negotiation with vendors, supporting event programme, event logistics, venue booking, vendor coordination, marketing and promotion, communications related to event and on-site event management. Events range from community engagements, closed door discussions, internal leadership forums, client events, to local and foreign dignitaries.
- Support overall SJ brand experience and communications efforts, including internal engagements and brand touchpoints and sponsorship events with industry partners.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience, with a track record of delivering a wide range of events, from smaller engagement events to large corporate events for clients and guests and placemaking efforts. Experience in Marketing and Communications roles would be a plus.
- Attention to detail. Candidate understands, appreciates and improves every brand touchpoint during an event - from first impression to ongoing engagement, all playing a critical role in overall brand experience and perception.
- Strong communicator and negotiator. Organised, prepared and confident in working with senior management. Able to nurture and cultivate trust with stakeholders, and build good relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to approach challenges open-mindedly with a high degree of empathy. Proactively identifying solutions that are inclusive through consultation with all stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office. Proficiency in Wordpress or equivalent CMS would be a plus.
- Proficient in English. Proficiency in Mandarin would be a plus.
