Client: Well-known private education institute Position: Assistant Manager, Events Management Location: Dhoby Ghaut Salary: Up to $4,400 (12 + VB, average 2-3 months)
Role Overview: As an Assistant Manager in Events Management, you’ll ensure smooth event delivery through detailed planning, effective coordination, and on-site leadership. You’ll manage cross-functional teams, oversee budgets, and maintain high standards to create exceptional event experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Management: Plan and oversee events (e.g., Open Houses, Graduation Ceremonies, Launch Events), manage logistics (venue, setup, audiovisuals, vendor contracts), and ensure deadlines are met.
Content Production & Management: Collaborate to create event-related content (promotions, programmes, videos, digital assets), and ensure post-event content supports marketing and reviews.
Stakeholder Coordination: Work with internal teams (Recruitment, Admissions, etc.) and manage external vendors. Act as the main contact for event-related communication.
Team Leadership: Brief teams before events, lead on-site execution, handle real-time issues, and facilitate post-event debriefs.
Budget Management: Develop and track event budgets, optimize costs, and ensure quality standards.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure events comply with safety regulations and institutional policies.
Ad-hoc Support: Assist in marketing/recruitment projects and respond to last-minute adjustments.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Events Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
3-5 years of event planning, content production, or project management experience.
Proven experience in managing large events and leading multi-team projects.
Familiarity with event management tools (e.g., Eventbrite) and basic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
