Assistant Manager, Data Management

Job Summary:

• Work Schedule: 8:30am to 6pm (Mon to Thu) and 8:30am to 5:30pm (Fri)

Job Responsibilities:

• Support and work closely with the Chief Data Officer (CDO) to develop and implement the company’s Data Strategy for decision-making purposes.
• Develop, review and update data-related policies to ensure alignment with the national data policies.
• Oversee the management and maintenance of the company platform for data requests to facilitate data requests by staff.
• Put in place a protocol that complies with relevant data access, sharing, and security policies.
• Serve as a point-of-contact to liaise with other institutions and external parties for data requests as well as to contribute to the group analytics and digitalization effort.
• Develop and implement proper data assets management standard operating procedures and workflows across the Data Life Cycle from data acquisition, fusion, access and distribution, to disposal.
• Collaborate with the relevant departments/units to build staff literacy, competency, capabilities, and knowledge in safe, efficient, and effective data exploitation and management on various platforms.
• Oversee the secretariat support for departmental and hospital working committees to support digital transformation agenda and build communities of practice to share knowledge and best practices.
• Lead change management, engagements, and communications with different levels of stakeholders, on issues pertaining to data management, data sharing, and data exploitation.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computing in Information Systems, Information Management or Management Information Systems or related fields.
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in business data management and governance with experience in developing data strategy.
• Experience in handling compliance reviews or overseeing data management / IT systems is preferred.
• Experience in data analytics is an added advantage.
• Possess strong data and technological knowledge, covering recent topics such as data governance, data policies and data domains.
