Job Description
Under the NUHS Research Office, the Assistant Manager serves as a member of the Cardiovascular-Metabolic Disease Translational Research Programme, under the leadership of Professor Roger Foo, Principal Investigator.
This position includes, but is not limited to:
- Involved in management of grants with multiple stakeholders, from pre-award to post award activities, operations, compliances and finance.
- Arrange and coordinate events and meetings, including creating and distribution of meeting minutes, preparing facilities for scheduled meetings, and arranging refreshments, if required.
- Manage overall day-to-day administrative activities for the Principal Investigator.
- Assisting with reporting and presentations to stakeholders.
- Purchasing products and services for the Principal Investigator, including preparing reports, tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery, and keeping records of purchases.
- Maintain research related databases, files and records.
- As administrative support for the Principal Investigator, this role will involve liaising with members of staff and external parties for other institutions and the public.
Qualifications
- Bachelor / Master in any discipline with a minimum 5 years of experience.
- Prior experience working in/with scientific research industry.
- Active listening and good communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal and social skills.
- Independent and good team player.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong time-management and organisation skills.
- Good proficiency in MS Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel.
