Assistant Lead, OGS Video

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Assistant Lead for our Video team to supervise and manage a team of Video Editors and Video Journalists, focusing on Documentaries.

The Assistant Lead will play a key role in managing pre-production to post production timelines for both editorial and branded content.

You will be responsible for overseeing assignments, setting KPIs, monitoring project progress, and conceptualizing series for platform content. Additionally, you will be actively involved in producing and directing content for publication on the platform and ideating branded pitches.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a team of Video Editors and Video Journalists, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
• Manage pre-production to post production timelines for both editorial and branded content, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Manage assignments, KPIs, and monitor project progress to ensure alignment with goals and standards.
• Support the Video Team Lead by contributing to content direction for annual goal planning, quarterly/target reviews, and updates to ensure strategic alignment.
• Produce and direct content for publication on the platform, maintaining high standards of storytelling and creativity.
• Ideate and review branded pitches, ensuring alignment with the brand's vision and goals.
• Participate in hiring interviews and decision-making for Video Editor and Video Journalist roles.
• Oversee the onboarding of new hires for the factual team, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in documentary production and team management.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage timelines and assignments effectively.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in content strategy, production, and direction.
• Ability to ideate and review branded pitches in line with the brand's vision.
