Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant IT Manager to oversee and manage the effective operation of our company’s IT infrastructure. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, project management, and strategic leadership to ensure our IT systems are aligned with the company’s objectives, security requirements, and business needs. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a solid understanding of industry best practices, and a proactive approach to solving complex IT challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Strategy: Lead the IT department in developing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure and systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations. Drive the delivery of high-quality IT services to meet business needs and strategic goals.
  2. IT Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute IT strategies, plans, and initiatives to ensure data security, optimize organizational effectiveness, and drive innovation. Identify and implement advanced IT solutions that improve business operations.
  3. Project Management: Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, from planning and conceptualization to execution. Ensure comprehensive documentation, clear project timelines, and adherence to budgets.
  4. Process Improvement & Digital Transformation: Identify and lead internal projects aimed at enhancing process efficiency, promoting digital transformation, and streamlining workflows.
  5. IT Security: Develop and enforce IT security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect company data and assets across headquarters and multiple operational locations. Oversee the implementation of security measures and ensure compliance with best practices.
  6. Policy Development & Compliance: Establish and enforce IT policies, including IT asset lifecycle management, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop procedures for safeguarding data and recovering information assets in the event of a disaster.
  7. Industry Awareness and Recommendations: Stay up to date with emerging IT trends and technologies. Provide informed recommendations to senior management regarding the protection, storage, and optimal use of data to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  8. Asset Management: Oversee the management of IT assets and inventories, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  9. Service Management: Manage service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure timely and efficient responses to user requests and queries, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  10. Documentation and Reporting: Ensure that all IT infrastructure, software licenses, and system configurations are properly documented. Maintain clear and accurate records of all software modifications and updates.
  11. Training and Development: Design and conduct training sessions for end-users on IT systems, tools, and best practices to promote effective use of technology within the organization.
  12. Ad-hoc Projects and Tasks: Assist with any other IT-related projects or tasks as required to support the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or related fields, with at least 3 years of experience in project management.
  • ITIL Certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of data management, network security, and governance best practices.
