Job description

The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are listed as, but not limited to the following:

  1. Assist daily operations, maintenance, system, and phone support.
  2. Troubleshoot and provide technical support to users on hardware peripherals, software, networks, servers, and business applications.
  3. Provide installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop, laptop, network appliances, and software.
  4. Set up computer hardware peripherals and perform server installations, administration, and maintenance when required.
  5. Assist with the onboarding of new employees regarding IT user accounts and laptops.
  6. File Technology request forms upon receipt of each new request for user change requests.
  7. Ensure all hardware peripherals are updated/installed with the latest security patches/antivirus to prevent security risks.
  8. Update hardware and software inventory to ensure inventory accuracy.
  9. Perform and monitor daily data backups.
  10. Liaise with external parties on IT issues and purchases.
  11. Rectify and recover the workstations and servers’ failure as 1st level support.
  12. Assist users with daily application and system requests as 1st level support.
  13. Provide strategic guidance and oversight to vendors, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon SLAs and KPIs.
  14. Attend IT meetings, training, discussions, task forces, and assignments as a team.
  15. Carry out technical support to end users.
  16. Check on backup status and update the backup log daily.
  17. Assist in the implementation of IT security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect the hotel's data and systems.
  18. Perform documentation on IT procedures, system, and network configuration.
  19. Contribute to IT projects, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring successful implementation and minimal disruption to operations.
  20. Prepare a quarterly IT audit checklist.
  21. Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management.
