Job description
Responsibilities:
Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions in Singapore, including recruitment and internships, onboarding and offboarding, learning and development, payroll, employee relations, and performance management, ensuring compliance with Singapore labor laws and other applicable regulations.
Assist the Group HR Manager in developing HR policies and ensure their compliance within the Singapore office.
Collaborate with the Assistant HR Manager in Malaysia to manage candidate sourcing and onboarding processes for both Singapore and Malaysia-based executives and workers.
Partner with the Singapore HR & Admin Team to implement the new HRIS for Group HR operations across Singapore and Malaysia.
Support internal audits and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance requirements.
Foster a cohesive company culture aligned with the group’s values and mission, promoting consistent employee engagement and workplace culture.
Undertake additional assignments as directed by Senior Management and the Group HR Manager.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred.
At least 10 years of HR experience in Singapore, with in-depth knowledge of Singapore labor laws and regulations. Strong expertise in Talent Acquisition and Talent Development is highly preferred.
Self-motivated, hands-on, and collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
Capable of handling confidential information with the utmost integrity and discretion.
Energetic and adaptable, with the ability to implement change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Open to visiting project sites and engaging with both frontline and executive staff.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivering accurate, high-quality work.
Proficient in analyzing data, critical thinking, and delivering HR initiatives that achieve effective cost-benefit outcomes.
Diplomatic, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across all staff levels.
Familiarity with Malaysian labor laws is an added advantage.
Highly skilled in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and HRIS systems.
Willingness to work beyond regular hours, including weekends, to address urgent business needs.
Additional Information:
This is an individual contributor role, direct report to Group HR Manager.
Prefer someone who is comfortable traveling to dormitory & sites (shipyard).
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM (Monday will be until 6:30 PM), 1 month 1 Saturday only (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM).
