Job Summary:

To support this growth, the company is seeking a passionate and dynamic leader to join their team. As a key member of the restaurant management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the daily smooth operations of the restaurant while driving excellence and innovation. Your role will encompass a variety of exciting challenges, including setting sales targets, organizing promotional events, training and motivating staff, managing customer relations, and maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and safety.

Assistant General Manager Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring that all aspects run efficiently and smoothly for both guests and staff.
    • Supervise and lead the restaurant team, including servers, chefs, and kitchen personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Maintain the restaurant’s exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety, ensuring compliance with health regulations while creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
    • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock, ensuring supplies are replenished as necessary to prevent disruptions in service and maintain operational efficiency.
  2. Customer Service Excellence:

    • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, setting the standard for the team and ensuring each guest has a memorable dining experience.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, showing a commitment to resolving issues and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
    • Develop and implement strategies to continuously enhance the guest experience, focusing on creating lasting impressions and encouraging repeat visits.
  3. Staff Management and Development:

    • Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and onboarding new staff, ensuring the team is well-equipped and aligned with restaurant goals.
    • Provide ongoing training to employees, maintaining high service standards and fostering continuous development.
    • Create and manage employee schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels, balancing operational needs with team well-being.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback and addressing disciplinary actions as needed to maintain a motivated and effective team.
  4. Financial Management:

    • Assist the General Manager in overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure the restaurant’s financial health.
    • Monitor daily sales, costs, and other financial data, taking necessary actions to meet profit goals.
    • Track and control operating expenses, focusing on minimizing wastage and improving overall efficiency.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on the restaurant’s financial performance to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  5. Marketing and Promotion:

    • Assist in developing and implementing marketing and promotional strategies to enhance the restaurant’s visibility and appeal.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan events, seasonal offerings, and special promotions that engage customers.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers to further promote the brand and drive sustainable growth.
  6. Leadership and Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the General Manager and management team to set clear operational goals and drive overall success.
    • Foster a positive work culture by motivating the team and leading by example.
    • Resolve conflicts efficiently and encourage collaboration, ensuring a cohesive and supportive atmosphere within the restaurant.
  7. Event Coordination:

    • Oversee and manage special events and private functions, ensuring they align with the restaurant’s brand and objectives.
    • Ensure each event runs smoothly, upholding high standards of execution, service, and guest satisfaction throughout.
