Assistant Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage group finance operations, including the review and preparation of financial reports, management reports, and ensuring timely closing for the region.
2. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
3. Collaborate with the management team to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring actual performance against the budget and providing recommendations for improvements.
4. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including cost, profitability, and variance analysis, identifying trends, financial risks, and opportunities to support informed decision-making.
5. Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and prevent fraud, while implementing risk mitigation strategies.
6. Provide financial information and analysis to internal stakeholders, including directors, project managers, and department heads, and liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
7. Assess and manage financial risks, including project-related risks, liquidity risk, and market risk, developing strategies to ensure the financial stability and sustainability of the organization.

What we're looking for:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CA, ACA) is highly desirable.
2. Experience: Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in a similar senior role, with proven expertise as a Financial Controller or in a comparable senior finance position.
3. Skills:
   1. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
   2. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
   3. Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
   4. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
   5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
   6. Candidates with extensive experience may be considered for a more senior role, with compensation aligned accordingly.
