To support the management in meeting the local and overseas reporting requirements. This role will work closely with the head of finance/finance manager in the preparation of various reporting deliverables. This role will also support management in financial planning for strategic decision making.
Responsibilities:
Support the preparation of statutory/regulatory reporting and tax related deliverables
Work closely with external auditor to manage the annual audit
Timely process of financial closing activities
Support management to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals
Ensure accuracy of financial data, as well as compliance with accounting standards, policies and internal control procedures
Analyse financial performance and trends to provide insights for optimizing outcomes
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate financial plans with operations and initiatives
Other ad-hoc assignments
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional certificates
Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Accounting/Reporting within insurance or reinsurance industry
Strong understanding of Singapore FRS and insurance regulatory framework
Good understanding of reinsurance business and products
Proficiency in MS Office
Good computer technical skills (prior working experience with SAP is beneficial)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and possess initiative with strong drive to learn
