Assistant Finance Manager (Corporate Finance)

The incumbent will assist in maintaining the monthly financial records and support the Head of Finance / Financial Controller with the finance functions of Vanguard Healthcare Pte Ltd. He / She will manage a team and provide guidance mainly on Capex, Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL) matters. Additionally, the role involves managing the closing process including the maintenance and review of closing schedules, assisting in budgeting cycle, and participating in ERP system implementation.

This role will be working in Senja Care Home (Bukit Panjang).

The responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Oversee the finance and accounting operations
• Lead the month end closing process. Review monthly management accounts and closing schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with Corporate Operating Policy and financial accounting standards
• Update management commentaries on a timely basis and aid in analysis of financial performance for reporting purposes
• Track Capex actual spend and utilisation (both budgeted and unbudgeted, funded and non-funded)
• Support the Capex planning and budgeting process
• Engage in procurement related activities such as evaluation of RFPs and vendor selection process
• Involved in the preparation of financial statements for statutory audits
• Streamline process flows including participating in ERP system implementation project to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Handle any other ad-hoc duties assigned such as grants-related matters

Requirements

• Possess Diploma/Degree/ ACCA Equivalent with at least 5 years experience in financial reporting and maintaining full set of accounts.
• Well versed in Accounting standards
• Knowledge and working experience on Navision accounting system will be an added advantage
• Ability to work under tight reporting timelines
• Positive working attitude, meticulous and responsible
• Good communication skills and team player / leader
• Proficient in computer applications, such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
