Assistant Finance Manager
Job description
Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
- Responsible for month-end and year-end close. Review and analyze monthly results with a focus on key activities profitability.
- Oversee and monitor ARs and APs for overdue payment, non-payment, and other irregularities.
- On-time reporting of financial results with commentaries.
- Prepare Quarterly Financial Report to Group.
- Lead continuous improvement programs relating to finance processes.
- Strong accounting standard knowledge.
Budgets & Forecasts
- Prepare the Country budget and forecast in collaboration with Sales and Region Finance.
- Monitor monthly performance to ensure it is within budget.
Treasury & Banking
- Ensure daily and monthly cashflow forecasts are prepared and submitted on time.
- Responsible for fund flows, FX, and banking matters policy.
Controls & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and finance policies.
- Monitor changes and emerging trends in accounting standards and regulations.
Statutory Accounts & Audit
- Plan and coordinate the annual financial audit process to ensure accounts are prepared and filed in time.
- Resolve issues and deficiencies arising from audit findings.
- Lead point of contact for auditors.
- Prepare and draft FS report.
- Develop and manage Internal Controls Framework (JSOX based), compliance, and implementation.
Taxation
- Oversee all taxation matters.
- Ensure annual statutory tax filings are completed and submitted on time.
General
- Responsible for Sales Commission Calculation for SG Sales team.
- Review and analyze customer credit eligibility.
- Ensure company policies & procedures, legal, and ethical guidelines are adhered to.
- Assist in finance matters as may be required from time to time.
- Team management and implement staff development and succession planning.
- Oversee Office Administrative matters.
Requirement
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications.
- At least 3-4 years of work experience in a relevant position.
- CPA is preferred.
- IT industry experience is preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage all internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel user.
- Working knowledge of MS Dynamics and Power BI is preferred.
