Prepare month-end closing activities for Group and Australian regulatory reporting.
Prepare reporting packs for regulatory returns.
Assist with inquiries and requirements from auditors and regulators.
Support the finance manager by providing finance-related input to inform decision-making, including internal and external audits and the preparation and review of all financial reporting requirements.
Collaborate closely with the finance manager to drive enhancements and process improvements for effective local regulatory reporting, aiming to streamline and enhance processes through automation.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Work with various stakeholders to resolve issues and provide support.
Support UAT for projects on an ad-hoc basis to ensure finance-related requirements are met.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Degree in Accountancy or Finance.
3-5 years of experience in a financial reporting role, preferably within the insurance industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Awareness of current financial accounting standards and insurance regulations, with the ability to analyse their impact on the organisation.
