Job description:

This role is primarily for a behavioral scientist who will be responsible for studying why people behave the way they do and what factors influence decisions and encourage or discourage changes in behaviors. It involves translating learnings from human behavior and leading multi-disciplinary team(s) to develop effective science-based interventions and programs to help people make positive changes.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • To work with individuals and groups, research and intervention teams, including doctors, dietitians, F&B specialists, allied health and other professionals to design and develop behavioral interventions, translate them into practical implementation in school, workplace and community settings with the aim to encourage healthy lifestyles through behavior change techniques and programme outreach.
  • To lead multi-disciplinary team(s) and collaborate with external agencies to translate preventive health behavioral interventions into practical implementation and assimilate them into various settings.
  • To scope and lead ground-sensing data collection and literature reviews to identify crucial factors that influence health behaviours and establish feasible intervention strategies.
  • To design and lead social change strategies to create a movement for health and healthy communities in various settings.
  • To build trust, relationships and establish collaborations with relevant agencies.
  • To initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control projects that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master and/or doctoral degree in behavioural science, behavioural psychology, or related fields, such as clinical psychology, social research, or applied sociology, or public health that focuses on behavioural health science.
  • Experience in leading preventive health programme development and behavioural intervention development will be advantageous.
  • Experience in leading programme implementation in school, workplace and community settings will be advantageous.
