Job description

Reporting to CHRO, the Assistant Director / Senior Manager of Learning and Development, Employee Awards, Engagement, and Wellness plays a critical role in fostering a culture of continuous learning, employee recognition, and overall well-being within the organisation. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that enhance employee engagement, facilitate professional development, and promote wellness programmes aligned with our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will lead various training-related funding initiatives, ensuring the effective utilization of governmental sponsorship programmes and internships to nurture a talented workforce.

Leadership and Strategic Planning

  • Provide leadership to the Learning and Development team, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and HR strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to continuously improve employee engagement and development frameworks.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of programmes and initiatives, utilizing metrics to drive decision-making.

Learning and Development

  • Design, implement, and evaluate training programmes that enhance organisational capabilities and employee skills and build bench strength of our leaders/supervisors.
  • Manage the Training Centre to deliver high-quality training and development initiatives.
  • Oversee the identification and application of government training-related funding.
  • Administer internship programmes and develop partnerships with educational institutions to create a pipeline of talent.
  • Lead initiatives to facilitate career transitions and support workforce development.

Employee Awards and Engagement

  • Develop and oversee employee recognition programmes that celebrate achievements and contributions to the organisation.
  • Conduct employee engagement surveys, including the Employee Survey, to assess staff morale and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze survey results and recommend targeted strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Foster a positive work environment through initiatives that promote teamwork, collaboration, and employee satisfaction.

Wellness Programmes

  • Design and implement comprehensive wellness programmes that address physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to enhance offerings related to employee health and wellness.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Learning and Development, Employee Engagement, and Wellness programmes, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Psychology, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of government funding initiatives related to training and development, as well as familiarity with healthcare industry practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing employee recognition and wellness programmes that drive engagement and satisfaction.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to inform decisions and strategies.
  • Proactive and innovative mindset with a passion for promoting a culture of continuous learning and employee well-being
