Assistant Director / Senior Assistant Director, Corporate Services, IME

As a research institute within the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), IME bridges the gap between academia and industry. Our mission is to accelerate innovation in advanced packaging, piezoMEMS, SiC, RF/mmwave GaN, and photonics & sensors, and to develop talent and inspire in Singapore.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director/Senior Assistant Director of Corporate Services to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will manage the corporate services functions at IME, which include administration, purchasing, budgeting, resource planning, and other corporate support, ensuring efficient and effective operations.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the Corporate Services functions.
2. Lead the annual budget exercise and forecast reporting. Oversee the preparation, monitoring and management of funds.
3. Provide financial insights and strategic advice to support business planning and decision making.
4. Drive transformation efforts by proactively reviewing and suggesting improvements to operational efficiency and cost control.
5. Maintain strong internal controls and governance, balancing public accountability, prudent use of funds, and operational efficiency.
6. Mentor your team and foster a positive and productive work environment.
7. Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

1. Preferably at least 8 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
2. Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills in decision making.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
4. Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
5. Familiar with SAP and proficiency in data analytics/visualization tools like Power BI will be beneficial.
