Job Description
Gardens by the Bay comprises three distinct gardens: Bay South, Bay East, and Bay Central. The Bay East Project Office has been established for the meticulous planning and development of Bay East, with the Founders' Memorial serving as the focal point.
We are seeking a competent Project Manager, who will be instrumental in leading and coordinating the development works of Bay East Garden and its surrounding infrastructure to support the Founders' Memorial and Bay East project. This position necessitates a robust background in multiple stakeholder management, technical competency, and experience in public-private projects and partnerships. As an integral member of the multi-disciplinary Bay East project team, the incumbent will be responsible for managing a diverse range of project management details with consultants, contractors, agencies, and other key partners. The ability to facilitate collaboration and resolve issues effectively will be essential to the project's success. Additionally, the incumbent will work closely with various authorities to ensure that the development works are seamlessly integrated with the Founders' Memorial and surrounding infrastructural projects, ensuring proper interfacing of all construction contract packages.
The incumbent's technical expertise will be critical in overseeing the planning and execution phases, ensuring that all operational requirements are met. Leadership in liaising with relevant stakeholders, incorporating their inputs into the project, and ensuring that all aspects of the development are aligned with the overall vision for Bay East will also be required. Furthermore, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive project documentation throughout all phases of the project, from inception to completion, and ensuring timely delivery in collaboration with consultants.
Qualifications
• Degree in Project Management, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, or other relevant fields from a recognized university
• Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in large-scale, area-wide, infrastructural development projects in the public sector, with extensive hands-on project management experience
• Proven track record in managing public-private projects and partnerships, demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills and technical competency
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
• A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
