The Regional Strategic Planning ('RSP') team plays a critical role in driving Eastspring Investment's growth strategy by leading the development, planning and execution of strategic initiatives (organic and inorganic). The team collaborates closely with the Executive Management Committee ('EMC') and forges strong partnerships with key functions and senior leaders across local business units ('LBUs') to ensure alignment and delivery on corporate goals and objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Support and over time lead the assessment and execution of organic and inorganic initiatives including mergers, acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
• Lead and coordinate business reviews, new opportunity assessments, including financial analysis, market research, and risk evaluation.
• Develop detailed financial models and business cases with recommendations to support management's decision-making.
• Contribute to annual review of LBUs' strategic planning and overall business planning for the company.
• Support the preparation of board and management materials on project/transaction updates and requests for approval.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., senior management, finance, legal, operations teams), and manage external stakeholders (e.g., external advisers) to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategic initiatives.
• Manage all aspects of project/transaction process from initial planning to closing.
• Monitor industry trends and market developments (e.g., M&A, strategic partnerships, competitor analysis) to identify new opportunities and risks.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• University graduate with specialization in Finance, Accountancy or any Business disciplines. Graduates from other disciplines will be considered if they have the relevant industry experience. MBA/CFA is a plus.
• More than 8 years of relevant working experience in corporate development, investment banking, and/or management consulting.
• Proven track record of successfully executing mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
• Familiarity with the fund management industry.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Strong strategic and analytical skills. Able to independently conduct detailed market, competitive, financial analysis and synthesize key insights for senior management. Financial modelling experience is required.
• Hands-on experience in planning, coordinating and managing cross-functional projects. Able to coordinate among various stakeholders and drive project progress.
• Demonstrate clear knowledge and understanding of the asset and wealth management industry, and capital markets in general.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and possesses a high level of confidence in interacting with senior management.
• Willing to travel, if required.
