Job description
Position: Accounting/Finance Manager (GST)
Location: Near Pasir Panjang MRT
Working hours: 5 days work week (9.30am - 6.30pm)
Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $8500 + Performance Bonus + 14 days annual leave

Main Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month-end and year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, sales receipts and bank reconciliation, general ledger, payroll, budgeting cash forecasting revenue and expenditure variance analysis, fixed assets, etc.
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements as required.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Maintain accurate and complete financial records, lead audits, and perform reconciliations as required by audits.
Supervise and manage sales invoicing with a detailed understanding of project contract terms and work closely with the sales department in accounts receivables and sales collections.
Review staff sales commission records and reconciliation.
Evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency, including creating and adopting SOPs for the Accounting and other departments in compliance with internal control procedures.
Oversee the daily activities of the accounting department and ensure that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
Ensure that all accounting processes align with FRS and current financial legislation.
Analyze financial data and create reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as financial or sales consultants.
Manage all banking matters, including internet banking.
Manage Corporate Income tax and GST regulations of Singapore, including the filing and submission of quarterly GST.
Responsible for corporate secretarial works by working closely with a professional corporate secretary on various filings in compliance with the Companies Act and ACRA.
Work closely with Management and assist other departments to develop strategies, establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a financial impact on the business.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any professional certification in Accountancy such as ACCA, ICEAW, C.A (Singapore), CPA (Australia), etc.
4-5 years of relevant working experience in commercial accounting and finance with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
Adequate understanding and experience in Corporate Income tax and GST regulations of Singapore, including the filing and submission of quarterly GST.
Willingness to comply with all local and company regulations.
Willing to work for SME(s) and report to local entrepreneurs while taking a leadership role in fostering a good and strong corporate culture in the Company.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese clients who can converse in Mandarin only.
