Assembly and Quality Check Supervisor

GMC Marble Specialist Pte Ltd is looking for a Full Time Assembly & Quality Check Supervisor.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembly Supervision:
  Supervise and coordinate the activities of assembly line workers.
  Ensure that assembly processes are carried out efficiently and according to the prescribed standards and timelines.
  Oversee the allocation of tasks to assembly workers based on their skills and workload requirements.
  Ensure that the assembly process adheres to safety protocols and company procedures.

• Quality Control:
  Monitor the quality of products being assembled by conducting regular inspections.
  Perform quality checks at different stages of the assembly process to ensure the product meets customer specifications and regulatory standards.
  Identify defective products or parts and take corrective actions, such as rework, repair, or scrap.
  Ensure all quality control documentation is completed, such as inspection reports, defect logs, and corrective action reports.

• Training and Development:
  Train new assembly workers on proper assembly techniques, quality standards, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
  Provide ongoing training to current employees to improve productivity and ensure they understand changes in assembly or quality standards.

• Process Improvement:
  Identify areas for process improvement in both assembly and quality control operations.
  Work with engineers and other departments to streamline assembly processes and reduce defects or delays.
  Recommend and implement changes to improve product quality and operational efficiency.

• Compliance:
  Ensure the team complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
  Ensure that all processes meet internal and external audit requirements.

• Reporting and Documentation:
  Keep track of production and quality control metrics (e.g., number of defects, production downtime, efficiency levels).
  Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly reports for management on production and quality outcomes.
  Ensure that all relevant records are maintained properly for audits, traceability, and accountability.

• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
  Investigate issues that arise during the assembly process or quality checks, providing solutions to eliminate recurring problems.
  Liaise with the engineering team to resolve technical issues in the assembly process.

• Inventory Management:
  Oversee the management of parts and materials used in the assembly process.
  Ensure inventory is accurately tracked and that necessary parts and tools are available when needed.

Requirement:

• Will need to work overtime if needed.
• Working hours: Mon - Fri 12am - 10:30am (2 Break times, 2 OFF Days).
• Working location: Central.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• 2 years of working experience is a compulsory.
