Minimum Qualifications:

1. At least a Diploma (ideally a Bachelor degree) in the specialized field (Art, Music or Fitness), NAFA cert.
2. Excellent communication skills - spoken and written English.
3. Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with all levels of staff, professionals, parents, families, and community partners from diverse nationalities and cultures.
4. With or without early childhood experience; but should display the capacity to teach and the aptitude to interact and work with children.

Developing the Whole Child

1. Engage in planning and implementing an age-appropriate curriculum that is customized to meet individual learning needs and optimal outcomes for all children.
2. Manage an effective classroom that is focused on positive behavioural guidance.
3. Engage in ongoing observations in the classroom to plan intentional teaching and learning strategies that are differentiated and customized to meet the diverse needs of children.
4. Foster and enhance trusting, respectful relationships with children through positive interactions.

Learning Environment

1. Design, set up, and engage in ongoing evaluation of learning spaces to promote an optimal learning environment for children.

Health, Safety and Nutrition

1. Establish a safe and healthy environment, ensuring the day-to-day operational functions and SOPs pertaining to children’s care and well-being and safety practices are met.

Collaborating with Families and Communities

1. Develop strategies to establish and strengthen rapport and consistent personalized interactions with families through communication and customer-centric parent partnership and service standards.
2. Support the implementation of collaborative efforts among families and community stakeholders.

Building Professional Capacity

1. Engage in a culture of professional sharing, networking, collaborations, and reflective teaching practice to promote self-development.

Professional Values and Ethics

1. Advocate the policies and processes for establishing the culture of professionalism; driven by the ECE ethics and professionalism as well as the Odyssey programme philosophy, culture, and core values.

Building Organization Capacity

1. Facilitate effective and collaborative work teams, applying decision making, problem solving, and emotional competence to manage self and teams at the workplace.
