Title: Area Sales Manager (Retail)

Reporting: Managing Director

Position Overview

This position oversees the sales and operations of our outlets and atrium team. He/She will have a strong background in retail sales, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies. This role will require a focus on both managing the outlets and ensuring proper merchandising and display of products in the atrium area.

Job Highlights

  • 5.5 days work week, 9am to 6pm (weekday) / 9am to 1pm (Saturday)
  • Working location: Jurong logistics hub (nearest mrt: lakeside)
  • Salary: AWS + VB given
  • May be required to work on Sunday, depending on your Atrium activities

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall sales performance of the shops and atrium team, including setting sales targets and monitoring progress towards achieving them.
  • Develop and implement effective sales plans, activities, and campaigns and manage day-to-day activities of a sales team in order to implement the company’s strategies to drive revenue growth, strengthen brand building, increase customer loyalty, and maximize profitability.
  • Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies for the area of responsibility.
  • Coach and train sales staff to ensure they have the product knowledge and sales techniques necessary to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns and promotions that drive foot traffic and increase sales.
  • Maintain an attractive and organized shops and atrium area by ensuring products are displayed effectively and shelves are fully stocked.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitors' activities, and make recommendations to management for staying competitive in the market.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of sales staff and provide feedback, coaching, and support to help them achieve their targets.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a shops and atrium setting.
  • Strong knowledge of retail sales principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with individuals at all levels within the company.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies, negotiate effectively, and understand marketing skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations. Proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
