Area Manager, Retail

Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organization

Lead sales and operations in assigned store portfolio according to the company guidelines to meet sales and margin targets by management of the 5P’s - People, Product, Process, Profit, and Premise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sales and operations of stores with medium complexity within the assigned channel & stores independently to deliver strong performance and growth of the responsible channel & stores.
  • Deliver and manage proper actions to increase KPIs for assigned store portfolio based on regular KPI analysis with a strategic approach.
  • Provide leadership to the assigned store portfolio and resolve people challenges in the stores with low supervision.
  • Drive the people plans for the assigned store portfolio and ensure that the plans are implemented in the stores to be the best retail sales team in the sport industry.
  • Lead in-store marketing management process and activations in close cooperation with the Brands team to ensure a consistent and aligned brand presentation in the stores.
  • Manage store operations by visiting stores to ensure store operations comply with the guidelines of the store operations manual.
  • Drive enhancements in consumer experience in the assigned stores portfolio through a focus on the consumer service model to ensure a unique and positive experience for the consumer.
  • Manage all consumer incidents in the assigned stores portfolio to ensure that incidents are managed smoothly and protect the brand reputation with low supervision.
  • Drive sales events for the assigned channel by leading the preparation and supervising the sales events to ensure smooth operation of the event.
  • Collaborate closely with the retail sales director to brainstorm plans and shape the annual channel-specific plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Brand teams and group function partners to drive assigned store portfolio requirements and retail initiatives with low supervision.

Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in a sports/fashion industry and commercial-focused retail environment with a minimum of 12 months of Store Management responsibility.
  • Outstanding communication skills, fashion sense, and awareness of trends.
  • Diploma or above.
  • Advanced IT skills in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
