This role is responsible for achieving the division's sales goals for Abbott Molecular Diagnostics in APAC. This role is responsible for delivering the area P&L, business development, commercial strategic planning, and customer service support and execution, while leading and developing a professional, high-performing commercial organization.
Deliver on financial goals (sales, margin, market share) and other financial KPIs.
Ensure that the achievement of targets is driven by divisional decisions, investments, and strategic initiatives.
Successfully manage the balance between short-term performance and long-term growth.
Develop and provide long and short-term business forecasts, business reports, and information flows as required on a timely basis.
Raise deviations from plan early and proactively provide mitigation plans and alternative scenarios.
Develop a vision for the Area, including short- and long-term strategies that clearly differentiate the business from the competition and achieve sustainable competitive advantage in the market.
Translate and communicate the strategy for your direct reports and entire Area.
Develop execution plans and contingency plans that set clear priorities and establish clear focus for the area.
Re-assess and adjust strategies and execution plans to adapt to internal and/or external changes to ensure success.
Keep the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision-making.
Ensure the alignment of various functions with the vision and strategies.
Understand the needs and expectations of internal stakeholders (e.g., other GMs, functional leaders, global leaders, etc.) and external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory/compliance entities, KOL, governments, associations, etc.).
Manage and develop strong relationships with distributors to drive business growth. Lead negotiations and conduct regular business reviews with distribution partners, identify key actions and lead changes as needed. Evaluate further growth opportunities and development of strategic distribution partners.
Enhance and distinguish the value proposition to customers; think critically about local and/or global market dynamics and develop intimate knowledge about the local and/or global market; navigate complex GTM environments.
Foster a customer-focused environment ensuring all aspects of the service and support delivery model contribute to Abbott Molecular’s total growth strategy while increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Driving sales and revenue growth through effective market penetration, product launches, and pricing strategies.
Identifying growth opportunities, new markets, and potential partnerships to accelerate the business performance in the region.
Ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, and supply chain management to optimize the company's performance.
Track record in execution and mitigating unplanned challenges while leveraging opportunities.
Ensure all business activities are conducted professionally, aligned with regulatory and industry guidelines, and are conducted in a manner consistent with Abbott’s Code of Conduct guidelines and Abbott’s Anti-Corruption Policy.

Education: A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 12 years of experience is typically necessary to develop the skills and competencies required for this role.
