Architectural Designer

Job Description

1. Assist client in developing design brief
2. Conduct pre-design research on regulatory requirements
3. Conduct site investigation i.e. check RLP, SIP, DIP and other necessary regulations
4. Brainstorm ideas and develop initial design
5. Ensure initial design complies with regulatory requirements
6. Consult authorities on specific regulatory requirements
7. Assist client to refine design brief
8. Further develop the design in detail to meet requirements for Development Control Submissions and all other relevant regulatory requirements
9. Prepare outline specifications to determine preferred materials, quality and construction method
10. Develop all spaces in detail (exterior, interior, landscape)
11. Refine plan and promotion enhancing feel & space
12. Enhance aesthetics through analytical design detailing
13. Ensure design intention is translatable to working drawings through construction
14. Ensure that design complies with regulatory requirements
15. Provide client with recommendations on materials and construction method that is in line with the design intent
16. Work closely with Project Administrator to develop Sketchup model in accordance to exact specifications
17. Conduct site inspections to ensure that design intent is adhered to
18. Troubleshoot design problems, if any
19. Assist with ad hoc design changes, if any
20. Conduct site inspection to check the completed work against the design intent
21. Understand and analyse design flaws and defects arising from design

Job Requirements

1. A strong passion for architecture, interior architecture and interior design
2. Good knowledge in selection of colours and materials
3. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Autocad, Sketch-up, 3D max, Revit and Powerpoint
4. Relish working in a challenging and fast-paced environment
5. At least 5 years of experience (local or overseas) Strong portfolio
6. A proactive and conscientious team player
