Job Objectives

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations. We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure. Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of analysts and developers, managing the system development, implementation and support of Cards related applications on the mainframe platform.
• Responsible for end-to-end software development and support, including pre-project initiation, impact analysis, functional specifications, development, implementation, testing, and support.
• Understand and contribute to the technical solution from design through to code level.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide consultation on solutions and technology.
• Manage or lead a team to implement solutions that meet business requirements and align with the organization's business objectives.
• Manage the application setup and deployment components.
• Handle development issues and escalations.
• Work with vendors to ensure timely and quality product deliveries.
• Manage budgets from different projects.
• Act as a hands-on manager to guide the team on functional and technical issues, with the capability to develop COBOL (or CICS-COBOL) programs according to functional & technical specifications.
• Write program specifications and documentation/flowcharts.
• Perform unit and system integration testing.
• Support user acceptance testing.
• Ensure project documentation is completed in accordance with bank standards.
• Maintain system compliance with payment associations’ mandates.

Key Requirements:

Technical Skills & Experience

• At least 12 years of experience in application development and maintenance with full software development life cycle experience.
• Hands-on experience in the cards application domain on a mainframe platform.
• Significant domain knowledge in Cards and Payments.
• Strong delivery and project management experience in implementing large scale, highly available applications for the financial services/banking sector.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven results-oriented person with a focus on delivery.
• Highly effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Good problem solving, analytical, synthesis, system thinking and solutioning skills.
• Experience in leading Cards Compliance delivery.

Education

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
