Job description

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our team and provide end-to-end support across critical business applications. This role involves a blend of L2/L3 support, incident management, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with development and DevOps teams. The ideal candidate has a strong background in SQL, Java, and enterprise environments, and is capable of both root cause analysis and proactive system monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 application support for enterprise systems across banking and retail domains.
  • Monitor system health, perform daily operational checks, and respond to incidents and service requests.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues across SQL/PLSQL, C#, Java, and AWS-based applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams for bug fixes, code analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Support deployment releases, including patch management and UAT coordination.
  • Write scripts, automation tools, and technical documentation as part of the support lifecycle.
  • Work in Agile/Scrum environments, participate in sprint ceremonies, and track tasks via JIRA or ServiceNow.
  • Manage and triage service tickets (CRs, PRs) and conduct RCA for critical incidents.
  • Ensure high availability and stability of customer-facing applications, especially post-production rollouts.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in application support and maintenance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, PLSQL, and relational databases such as Oracle DB and SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience with Java 8, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with C#, Python, and AWS Cloud services.
  • Experience working with tools such as JIRA, Git, AppDynamics, Splunk, Postman, and Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Prior experience in banking, financial services, or retail domains preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to perform root cause analysis and performance tuning.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Oracle Certified (Java/SQL) is a plus.
  • Exposure to ITIL-based support environments.
