Application Analyst

• Working with Operations and within IT departments, alongside application developers and software engineers.
• Involved in the training and support of staff in using applications.
• Analysis and diagnosis of application errors.
• Provide problem resolution, both short & long term.
• Involved in the design and development of existing and new applications.
• Participate in road testing, implementation & integration of new applications.
• Providing instructions and training to staff, when necessary.
• Responsible for the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of software infrastructure and applications.
• Oversee practices and processes to ensure integrity, safety, and availability of all data and applications as part of the organisation's IS.
• Ensure that the processes needed for a business to function and succeed are running smoothly.
• Act as a technical point of contact to fix application and systems issues, usually on an immediate basis.
• Expected to attend regular internal and external meetings to provide progress updates.
• Likelihood of working on multiple projects at any one time, often within a tight timeframe.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to conceptualize and relay technical information to non-technical users.
• Possess customer service skills to elicit clients' needs.
• Work independently and also as part of a team.
• Project management skills, ability to work to deadlines, and give realistic estimates.
