AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Would you like to be part of a team that is supporting the rapid growth of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) business? AWS is looking for an accomplished Business Desk Deal Consultant to work with cross-functional teams across AWS to drive and execute deal shaping and approvals.
We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader for the development, implementation, and operationalization of scalable mechanisms to drive AWS growth and profitability. The leader will drive Deal Pursuits and Reviews, Deal Funding, Finance Operations, Risk Management and Compliance, and Field Enablement.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of complex global businesses. They will have demonstrated abilities to influence AWS decision makers in an advisory approach (preferably through previous business desk, deal desk, sales or similar experiences) to progress decision making through deal shaping and approval. They are a self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems, works effectively with cross-functional counterparts, and thrives in a fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving. Proving you have high judgment, strong capabilities to earn trust, think big, and are comfortable working in ambiguous, highly-visible situations is critical for this position. A strong bias for action, strategic planning skills, quantitative analysis, and the ability to coordinate and deliver new initiatives across a highly-matrixed organization is essential.
