X is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to support our Asia Pacific operations. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with business partners across the organization to manage direct and indirect tax compliance. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, motivated, organized, detail oriented, and analytical. You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with the ability to work independently with limited direction.

The position will be based in Singapore and will report to the Asia Pacific Regional Controller.

Responsibilities:

  1. Managing direct and indirect tax compliance across APAC locations
  2. Liaising directly with local tax authorities and local tax advisors
  3. Co-ordinate the preparation and filing of direct and indirect tax returns in accordance with local deadlines
  4. Monitor transfer pricing strategy
  5. Responsible for all tax accounting under both US and local GAAP
  6. Ensure compliance in relation to the taxation of stock based compensation
  7. Keep abreast of changes to APAC tax legislation
  8. Assist on tax planning projects
  9. Develop and implement policies and procedures with internal business partners; recommend process improvements
  10. Deal with all audit and ad-hoc queries as they relate to tax

Requirements:

  1. Qualified accountant and taxation professional
  2. At least 8 years experience gained working in a multinational environment (in Big 4 and multinational company) with at least 3 of those years at managerial level
  3. Experience of working in a fast paced expanding multinational environment
  4. In-depth knowledge and exposure to international tax
  5. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadline driven
  6. Hands-on and committed individual with strong communication skills
  7. Exposure to tax compliance in relation to stock based compensation
  8. Able to work independently and collaboratively with all levels internally and externally
