Analyst, Investment

Analysts in Vena Energy’s Investment team will support the execution of investment opportunities for Vena Energy in the renewable sector across Asia-Pacific.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support the investment process for new investments which will include project due diligence, research, financial modelling and valuation;
2. Involve with Vena Energy’s projects following the investment, including monitoring performance of key value drivers, performing regular internal valuations, assisting with the execution of ongoing financing transactions and monitoring investment performance in general;
3. Actively support all aspects of new platform investments, add-on investments, monetization and related financing;
4. Process new investment opportunities, ranging from market assessment, to competitive positioning, to initial underwriting and deal structuring;
5. Dedicate diligent efforts on pursued deals, including business diligence, risk underwriting, and managing external advisers;
6. Build robust flexible financial models to support management investment decisions, focusing on analyzing project returns, optimizing capital structure, identifying risks and potential upside, and presenting analytical findings in a clear and concise manner;
7. Provide hands-on support to portfolio companies on project models, annual budgets, and compliance issues.

Education

Bachelor’s degree and strong GPA from a leading college or university.

Experience

1-2 years of experience working as a business analyst, financial analyst or project team member in finance, economics, investment or actuarial fields preferred. Recent college graduates will be considered.
