About this role
This role sits within Preqin, a part of BlackRock. Preqin plays a key role in how we are revolutionizing private markets data and technology for clients globally, complementing our existing Aladdin technology platform to deliver investment solutions for the whole portfolio.
What you'll be doing:
- Data Validation: Validate and log performance data strictly in accordance with BlackRock's reporting guidelines, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the closed-end fund performance dataset.
- Perform quality checks on profiles, including data entry for offshore teams and detailed checks for suspect figures.
- Respond to queries, feedback, and data requests via JIRA and other streams from Client Services and Sales, assisting on client calls as needed.
- Be the main contact for Closed-End Fund Performance queries in your region.
- Data Collection: Conduct web-research to ensure accurate and timely data collection from online sources, contributing to the ambitious goals of our Global Fund Performance Team.
- Coordinate and generate high-quality analysis for research reports, publications, blogs, and presentations, showcasing your ability to deliver outstanding content.
- Processes & Workflows: Identify and successfully implement workflow improvements using tools like Alteryx, Salesforces & Outreach, improving our operational efficiency.
- Contributing to Ad-hoc projects: Contribute to ad-hoc projects across the team to help improve data coverage, quality, and processes, demonstrating your proactive and new way.
- Regional initiatives: Support regional initiatives and projects to improve both the dataset and BlackRock's brand within the region, determining the best strategies for success.
What you'll bring to us:- A strong understanding of internal performance processes and workflows, enabling you to navigate and improve our systems with confidence.
- Proven experience in answering client data requests and queries, ensuring client happiness and outstanding service.
- Experience in contributing high-quality content for research reports, publications, and presentations, demonstrating your analytical and writing skills.
- A strong understanding of performance reporting and the alternative assets industry, allowing you to make informed and strategic contributions to our team.
- Being proactive by taking initiative to enhance existing processes/workflows and proposing ideas to enhance data coverage, quality, and/or timeliness, showcasing your innovative mentality.
