GIC Private Equity (PE)

GIC PE invests across the Americas, Europe and the Asia-Pacific in a range of sectors including healthcare, consumer, financial services, TMT, industrials, infrastructure, energy and natural resources. GIC PE also invests through private equity fund managers.

Direct Investments Group (Developed & Southeast Asia)

The Direct Investment strategy in GIC Private Equity focuses on sourcing and investing directly in companies in minority private equity, growth capital, buyouts, and structured capital transactions.

What will you do?

1. Be part of the Direct Investments Group based in Singapore, reporting to the Head, Direct Investments Group (Developed & South East Asia).
2. Evaluate private investments in minority equity, growth capital, buyouts and structured transactions, as well as portfolio monitoring and divestments.
3. Assist in reviewing, assessing, and executing attractive investment opportunities efficiently.
4. Involve in due diligence processes, pricing, deal structuring, negotiations and legal workstreams.
5. Attend board meetings, interact with management and other investors regularly, and work on ongoing strategic initiatives in portfolio companies.
6. Participate in special projects within the firm as assigned.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

1. Good academic qualifications with at least one to four years' of work experience in a top-tier investment bank or private equity fund.
2. Strong commercial judgement and experience in deal execution, diligence and closing in direct investments.
3. Ability to oversee and work with various counterparties, including internal teams and external advisors.
4. Strong written and communication skills; good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in deal teams.
6. Experience in working on private market transactions in Japan and Korea.
7. Business-level fluency in Japanese and Korean is required.
