Job Description
The Private Capital Markets (“PCM”) team is responsible for capital raising and product development for CapitaLand’s private funds across Private Equity Real Estate, Private Equity Alternative Assets, and Lodging Fund Management. CapitaLand currently manages ~US$23 billion across >30 private funds.
Reporting to Executive Director, Product Development, you will help shape and develop new private fund offerings by partnering with the Group’s capital raisers, fund management teams and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the structuring and launch of all new private fund vehicles/products globally and across Private Equity Real Estate, Private Equity Alternative Assets and Lodging including Data organizing, Service Residences/Lodging/Co-Living, Credit, and Infrastructure.
- Support the Fund Management team and Capital Raisers to drive the process for new and existing fund vehicles, including preparation/review of marketing material and legal documentation.
- Involvement in investor negotiations, addressing and managing investor due diligence, and organizing and managing data rooms.
- Support all compliance and regulatory requirements including Know Your Client (“KYC”) and Anti Money Laundering (“AML”) processes.
- Contribute to the Group’s investment management strategy through research and market intelligence, including keeping current on competitive and regulatory landscape and best practices.
- Assist with maintaining investment management track record information, benchmarking data, and completing RFPs and industry surveys.
- Support in managing and enhancing features of the Investor CRM.
Requirements
- Degree in Real Estate / Finance / Business Administration / Economics or equivalent
- Minimum 2 - 4 years of relevant experience (e.g. with real estate fund managers / financial institutions / real estate developers or operators / financial advisory firms, particularly in corporate finance / fund raising / investments).
- Sound working knowledge of private equity real estate fund management, investments and capital raising processes. Prior fund structuring and project management experience will be viewed favorably.
- Sharp analytical and presentation skills, with experience in financial modelling, development of pitch books & review of fund documentation
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills; comfort with working with partners across functions, cultures and geography
- Experienced or, at a minimum, familiar with legal documentation.
- Skilled in data analysis, with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
