Air Freight Manager / Logistics Industry

Our client is a Global Logistics Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for an Air Freight Manager to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the Central.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and guide the customer service team to ensure smooth operations.
2. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring service excellence.
3. Oversee shipment coordination, including booking, tracking, and timely delivery.
4. Work closely with internal teams and carriers to resolve logistics challenges.
5. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
6. Analyze service performance and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
7. Provide training and guidance on freight operations, customer service, and regulations.
8. Prepare reports on operations, service quality, and performance metrics.
9. Use data insights to drive strategic decision-making.
10. Negotiate with shipping and airline partners to optimize trade routes.
11. Strengthen relationships with carriers, vendors, and agents.
12. Plan and implement trade lane strategies to maximize profitability.
13. Develop pricing strategies to drive business growth.
14. Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial accountability.
15. Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Min Diploma in logistics/supply chain studies or equivalent.
2. Min 8 years relevant working experience in freight forwarding, import/export operations, or logistics.
3. Experience with CargoWise would be advantageous.
