Job DescriptionScope:Support the Branch in complying with Customs and any other government agencies’ regulations.
- Declare all different types of shipping permits.
- Apply Ordinary and Preferential Certification of Origin.
- Coordinate with the respective departments on supporting documents required, ensuring all documents are in accordance and timely to provide approved customs entry declarations with help of pre-customs entry, checklist, Asia Customs SOP, and pre-alert database.
- Attend to customs enquiries and secure the permit approval.
- Monitor and ensure all Cargo Manifest Declarations reports are submitted timely to Singapore Customs for both Import and Export permits transactions.
- Create files and prepare billing invoices, ensuring data accuracy and timely billing to customers.
- Generate essential customer or other reports as required.
- Update Asia Customs SOP with customers’ requirements and expectations.
- Adhere to compliance with Expeditors policy and expectations.
- Maintain Branch procedure on customs entry declarations.
- Ensure Key Performance Indicators are met within customers’ requirements and fulfillment of Singapore Customs / Competent Authorities rules and regulations.
- Perform internal audits for customs filling.
Work Schedule:5 days’ work week with 1 off day and 1 rest day (Sunday) within a calendar week.
Roster 1 - 8:30 am – 6:00 pm (1 hour lunch break) for 4 days
Roster 1 - 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (1 hour lunch break) for 1 day
Roster 2 - 12:00 pm – 9:30 pm (1 hour dinner break) for 4 days
Roster 2 - 12:30 pm – 9:30 pm (1 hour dinner break) for 1 day
Roster 3 - 2:00 pm – 11:30 pm (1 hour dinner break) for 4 days
Roster 3 - 2:30 pm – 11:30 pm (1 hour dinner break) for 1 day
- Only those who are currently residing in Singapore or have Singapore residency need to apply.
Qualifications- Tertiary Education with 2 years relevant experience.
- Good working knowledge in computer software applications including email, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in both spoken and written form, as well as problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of Singapore Customs local rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of related Competent Authorities regulations.
- Knowledge of using TradeNet system and able to declare with accuracy in customs entry declarations.
- Able to declare all different customs entry declarations / permits types.
