Your Role:
As an Additive Manufacturing Engineer, you will span the entire value chain, from the initial assessment and 3D modeling to production and certification, harnessing the latest in digital manufacturing technologies to bring industry-changing solutions to life.
What You’ll Do:
- Assess Maritime and Oil & Gas spare parts for On-Demand Manufacturing suitability, including digitalization through 3D scanning and CAD modeling.
- Support the selection of appropriate manufacturing technologies, materials, and standards based on customer and product requirements.
- Specify and implement quality requirements, inspection, and testing to ensure parts meet industry standards and regulatory certifications.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team and external vendors, supporting the procurement process to ensure the timely and quality delivery of projects.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers throughout the engagement process, from initial inquiry to final delivery.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly related to the Maritime and Oil & Gas sectors.
- Stay informed about new AM technologies, materials, and best practices to support innovation and drive company growth.

- Additional opportunity: - implementation of parts of the Pelagus 3D Quality Management System including developing, implementing, and auditing quality systems both internally and within the Pelagus 3D External Manufacturing Network.
- Additional opportunity: - management and development of parts of the global manufacturing network within the Pelagus 3D supply chain.
What You’ll Bring:
- Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a passion for innovation and advanced technology.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional international teams and external partners.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks); with some knowledge in Design for Manufacturing or Design for Additive Manufacturing preferred.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex challenges and optimize production processes for cost, quality, and delivery.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and client requirements are exceeded.
- Knowledge in additive manufacturing technologies and materials, with a bonus for those who understand their application in the Maritime or Oil & Gas sectors.
- Proficiency with manufacturing software tools and platforms. Knowledge of digital inventory and supply chain management systems is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of quality management systems in relevant industries is advantageous.
Location & Travel:
Based in our Singapore office, you’ll report directly to the Engineering Manager. Occasional travel will be required to visit our manufacturing sites, customer facilities, and industry events, providing you with the opportunity to see the impact of your work firsthand.
