You will join our team as an Actuarial Data Analyst Intern between January - May 2025 period, where you’ll become part of Munich Re’s Life and Health Southeast Asia Unit in Singapore, supporting the SEA Life Commercial team.
In this role, you will be using Python, SQL and PowerBI to transform, process, and analyse client bordereaux data. You will ensure data integrity through quality checks and cleaning, and manage data storage and retrieval for optimal accessibility. You will be contributing to the treaty monitoring project (KTM), focusing on streamlining the process of tracking the treaty performance.
Your Role
Automate data-driven processes, develop algorithms for data cleaning, and prepare thorough documentation for the work performed to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Manage and optimize data storage and retrieval using SQL Server, ensuring efficient and secure handling of client and portfolio data for seamless integration and analysis
Create and maintain dashboards using tools like VBA, SQL, Python, and PowerBI to visualize, monitor and analyse client data, providing insights to aid in decision-making for the business
Liaise with local offices, resolve issues, and document processes, ensuring accurate interpretation and implementation
Support the team with ad-hoc tasks, demonstrating flexibility to problem-solving
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or Business Analytics, with a strong foundation in data analysis.
Proficient in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), SQL, and data analysis automation, demonstrating an acumen for data
Experience or knowledge in Life Insurance principles and products is advantageous.
Proficient in data visualisation tools - knowledge in Power BI will be a valuable asset for report creation
