- Propose alternative design to substitute tender design that is practical, liable, cost-saving and conforms to relevant building code of practice.
- Liaise with client, architect, consultant, and main contractor for any site issues to ensure timely project execution. Represent the Company at site meetings and other meetings as required.
- Responsible for site coordination of workers and making accurate, decisive, and prompt decisions relating to work matters. Provide feedback to management on site problems for corrective actions to be taken.
- Ensure details in subcontracts and purchase orders are accurate and meet project specifications, covering the full scope of work intended and required by the main contract.
- Efficient project management, including project scheduling, leading, and coordinating the whole project team, which includes supervisors, foremen, workers, and subcontractors.
- Source more competitive costs in equipment and subcontractor costs to minimize project cost and capital utilization.
- Responsible for preparation, checking, and submission of shop drawings before commencement of installation works and as-built drawings upon completion. The drawings shall provide for openings through building structures for the passage of M & E services and ensure conformance to regulations and clients’ requirements.
- Submit monthly progress claims to clients and monitor variation works, avoiding wide differential in claim and payment amounts. Finalize project accounts and variation claims early for client verification and payment.
- Monitor the progress of work on site and recommend, if appropriate, interim payment certification to suppliers/subcontractors proposed by the designated Project Engineer.
- Assess, recommend, and recruit suitable subcontractors and workforce to provide quality engineering services to our clients.
- Actively involved in tender estimation, variation quotation, and costing preparation, assisting the project manager in the preparation of budgetary statements.
- Responsible for all correspondences with clients, authorities, main contractors, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and consultants.
- Actively involved with the quality management system of the company.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by higher management or superior.
Job Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- More than 3 years of relevant experience in ACMV system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and BIM.
- Independent, diligent, highly motivated with excellent team spirit and ability to cope in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
