Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day functions of the Back Office, focusing on Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables for Singapore, London, and US operations, ensuring proper, accurate, and timely completion of duties.
• Daily processing of Accounts Payables and Receivables, updating the relevant accounting systems.
• Liaising with the Settlements team for processing trade invoices.
• Preparing daily bank reconciliation and following up on outstanding reconciling items.
• Processing overhead as well as employee payroll and claims, posting the corresponding journals.
• Responsible for overhead recharges and liaison with counterparties.
• Covering for team members in the ARAP team when necessary.
• Assisting in tax and audit matters and addressing audit points/observations.
• Other ad-hoc accounting duties and projects.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Accountancy or on track to obtain a professional certificate (ACCA).
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting; added advantage from a commodity trading firm.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under time pressure.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Sun/Horizon/IMOS systems is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Microsoft Excel.
