Job Responsibilities

1. Provide financial reporting services and prepare client financial statement packages for CBRE client and property.
2. Apply cash and accrual accounting principles to prepare, analyse, maintain and deliver complete and accurate financial reports in a timely manner.
3. Undertake financial analysis and variance commentary in monthly reporting packs.
4. Create and post journal entries; ensure that all expenses, receipts, owner's distributions, funding requests and other transactions for the accounting period have been accurately posted.
5. Perform month end reconciliations for GL and TB including accruals and prepayments.
6. Perform bank reconciliations for all bank accounts within the portfolio.
7. Participate in budgeting and forecasting, for existing or new property and client transitions.
8. Participate in property tax calculations.
9. Coordinate and participate in year end audits for the portfolio.
10. Maintain property billings including rental, recurring and sundry charges; assist in managing arrears collection.
11. Process payment runs including funds requests.
12. Preparation of GST schedules for quarterly lodgments.
13. Other responsibilities and tasks assigned from time to time.

Requirements

1. A minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounting, finance or related position.
2. Experience with real estate accounting software (MRI/Yardi) is preferred.
3. Strong written and verbal communication, as well as organizational and analytical skills.
4. Able to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers and effectively present information.
5. Ability to work independently and possess initiative, and at the same time can thrive in a team environment.
6. Able to meet various timelines according to portfolio's requirements.
