Accounts Executive / Accountant

We are seeking a detailed-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to manage confidential financial operations, regulatory reporting, and accounting functions. The role involves liaising with banks and ensuring compliance.

Job Scope

• Ensure that revenues and costs have been recognized appropriately with the internal controls and in compliance with FRS.
• Handling and developing improvement processes in overall General Ledger account including managing subledger of AR, AP, Intercompany transaction, account revaluation, depreciation and future developments.
• Collaborate closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve customer billing concerns and credit limit/terms control.
• Banking Management includes monitoring of cash flow and review of LC/bank guarantees applications.
• Preparation of tax invoices, monthly Cash Flow forecast, AR/AP reconciliation and aging analysis of accounts receivable/accounts payable.
• Preparation of quarterly GST tax calculations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Other ad-hoc projects and assignments by Finance Manager.

Requirements

• Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident Only.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing/shipyard/petrochemical/industrial engineering industry is preferred.
• Profound understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in SAP, ERP (any), Microsoft Excel, and accounting software is advantageous.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of Singapore Goods and Service Tax.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strongly bilingual in English by writing and communication due to the necessary requirement of liaison with foreign counterparts for this post.
