Account and Admin Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Account and Admin Assistant. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our accounting team, manage day-to-day operations, and perform various accounting tasks.

Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned.
  • Assist in the data entry of financial transactions into accounting software.
  • Assist with the month-end and year-end closing process.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support, including answering phone calls and responding to emails.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry.
  • Manage and maintain company documents, including contracts, agreements, and other important papers.
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in all tasks and responsibilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in an account and administrative support role.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and helpful demeanour.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of tasks as needed.
