Our client is an MNC chemical trading company in Singapore. They are looking to expand the Accounting team, currently hiring a Senior Executive to join their team!

Reporting to: Senior Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the day-to-day Accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Revenue Recognition for specific products.
2. Assist in ensuring the closing of books within the timeline and review of any manual entry for adjustment.
3. Assist in the approval of workflows for payments after preparing disbursement slips in the system.
4. Prepare the internal monthly analysis report for the assigned sections/products.
5. Prepare Consolidation package with workings (quarterly).
6. Assist in Audit (Internal and External), and prepare FS notes workings.
7. Prepare Corporation Tax workings and assist in tax queries.
8. Involve in other tax matters like Transfer Pricing documentation and Global Trader Programme as well as withholding tax.
9. Support as a team member for cover of duty and any miscellaneous projects and tasks.

Requirements & Preferences:

1. Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university in Singapore.
2. Inexperienced candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and keen to embark on an exciting journey in the Trading company are welcome!
3. Maximum 2-3 years of experience in Accounting and Finance including Tax and Audit.
4. Good communication in both English and Mandarin to liaise with English and Mandarin stakeholders is required.
5. Proficiency with MS Office applications and SAP.
6. Strong analytical, meticulous, and multi-task skills, able to work well as a team member!
7. Able to join by January 2025.
8. Chartered Accountant (SG) is preferred.
9. A good understanding of SB-FRS and Corporate Tax will be advantageous.
10. Candidate from the Trading/Chemical/Petrochemicals industry is an advantage.
11. Experience working in a Japanese company would be ideal.
