Accounting Manager (Central/$8K) NL (ID: 672258)

Our client, a well-known Japanese company is currently looking for an Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting: Manage full accounts (GL, AR, AP), reconcile bank accounts, prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), and analyze performance.

2. Taxation & Compliance: Handle GST/VAT filings, corporate tax submissions, and ensure adherence to local tax laws and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).

3. Payroll & Budgeting: Process payroll, manage statutory payments, assist in budgeting/forecasting, and monitor cash flow to optimize working capital.

4. Global Pooling: Handle global AP and AR-related transactions. Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with internal financial policies.

5. Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop an accounting team, providing guidance and mentorship. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and controls.

Requirements

1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2. Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).

3. More than 3 years of experience as an Accounting/Finance Lead responsible for accounting, auditing, and taxation in Singapore.

4. At least 2 years of experience managing a team of 2 or more direct reports in a finance or accounting function.

5. 5-10 years of experience in managing a full set of accounts and monthly closing processes.

6. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP B1, SAP S/4 HANA, QuickBooks, Xero, or MYOB).

7. Proven ability to manage the flow from input data gathering (e.g., PL items, BS-related transactions, payroll) to the generation of output reports (e.g., monthly PL/BS/CF, quarterly consolidated statements, tax filings).

8. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas).
