Accounting Manager - 6 months contract

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager for a 6-month contract based in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all general accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and tax compliance. What you'll do:

As an Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all general accounting activities within the company. You will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and tax compliance while supervising an outsourced accounting team. Your role will also involve taking responsibility for key account's escalation management related to finance, providing hypercare support for key clients, proactively solving customer problems, analyzing financial data, and engaging with business leaders.

• Manage all general accounting activities of the company
• Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and tax compliance
• Supervise the outsourced accounting team to achieve targeted SLAs
• Support the finance team in designing robust controls and processes to have a strong internal control framework
• Engage with business leaders to evaluate business performance, assess strategy, value creation, and drive strategic initiatives
• Ad-hoc business partnering to the Southeast Asia's (SEA's) Leadership team
• Support to the Finance Director, Regional, and Global finance teams as required

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Accounting Manager position brings at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and have an accounting qualification such as CPA or CA. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills set you apart from others. You are proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Excel. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills make you a valuable team player who can also work independently with minimum supervision.

• Excellent knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and local GAAPS) on both transactional and technical aspects
• Knowledge of key tax compliance matters (GST, income tax, etc.)
• Good attention to detail, analytical & numerate. Ability to analyse data and report them to the line manager
• Proactive mindset to build new process and foster ideas for improvement
• Desire to make a positive impact with high level of integrity and consistency
• Managing skills to monitor the outsourced accounting team
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and experience with an accounting system
• Managing Sub - Ledgers including AP, AR and Fixed Assets.
